Oregano unfolds its aromatic facets, wrapped in the creamy texture of Australian sandalwood and the smoky elegance of vetiver, adding depth and tension. As it settles, the fragrance deepens. The trail turns darker, denser. Indonesian patchouli, cistus labdanum, and oud wood ground the blend in a woody, leathery sensuality.

Lime essence
Black Oregano opens with a fresh, vibrant burst of Peruvian lime, sourced from the oldest variety of lime in South America. Harvested from certified plantations, these limes are processed locally through a meticulous method that ensures both purity and full traceability. Grown with care under sustainable, low-impact farming practices, they yield an essential oil of exceptional quality.
This oil is then refined in France into a powerful extract with zesty, juicy, and sparkling notes. This responsible sourcing not only guarantees excellence in the bottle, but it also supports local communities and actively contributes to improving their living conditions.
Vetiver essence
In Black Oregano, Haitian vetiver brings a deep, textured elegance with its rich, woody soul. Grown in rich soils, it develops a network of fine roots that are distilled locally for nearly 24 hours using a traditional method. This slow method draws out a precious oil with smoky, earthy, leathery, and even subtly milky facets.
Haitian vetiver is rooted in ancestral know-how, passed down through generations in rural communities. Its cultivation reflects a local, human-centered, and environmentally conscious approach, one that honors both the olfactory richness of vetiver and the sustainable commitment of the people behind it.
Oregano essence
At the heart of Black Oregano lies a rare and powerful ingredient: wild oregano. Harvested by hand, this aromatic plant thrives on dry, sun-drenched hillsides, where it develops its intensely warm, spicy, and slightly camphoraceous character.
The leaves are carefully dried in the shade to preserve their aromatic richness, then steam-distilled to obtain a remarkably pure essential oil.
With its low yield and artisanal extraction, oregano becomes more than just an herb, it’s a noble raw material. We’ve amplified its naturally leathery undertones to create a bold contrast and a striking olfactory signature that lingers on the skin with strength and sophistication.

Sourced from CITES-certified supply chains, this rare oud is harvested in strict accordance with international regulations on protected species. “The inspiration came from a bouquet of wild oregano brought back from Portugal last summer. As I stripped the leaves, it felt like I was holding the entire Portuguese sun in my hands: it was fresh, radiant, powerful, and vibrant. I felt compelled to give this ingredient center stage, to treat it as a raw, central material around which I could craft a singular, deeply sensual trail.
In creating Black Oregano, I wanted to contrast the raw, expressive, and singular presence of oregano with the sensual depth of leather. Using an aromatic note to evoke a warm sensuality might seem unexpected, but it was precisely this contrast that inspired me.”
